TAKINO SNOW WORLD
Fields of flowers and forest walks aren’t the only things Takino Suzuran Hillside Park is renowned for—when Christmas approaches, it is transformed into Takino Snow World. This winter paradise just for those who are new to the snow, whether they’re kids or visitors from warmer climes. There are safe courses for beginner skiers and snowboarders and, most popular of all, one of Japan’s longest sledding slopes. Zooming down the 200m course in an inner tube is a thrill for all ages.
With multiple cross-country skiing courses through the snow-blanketed forest and a play area ideal for making snowmen, there’s a whole world of winter fun for those who aren’t into skiing or snowboarding.
